Contracts / Breach of Contract

Business runs on contracts.

Virtually every transaction we do in the business world is based on a contract of some sort.

Creating and reviewing contracts for clients is at the heart of any commercial law firm’s business. We assist our clients with contracts of all types, including:

  • Buy/Sell Agreements
  • Consulting Agreements
  • Services Agreements
  • Website Terms and Conditions (including Privacy Policies)
  • Licensing Agreements
  • Joint Ventures
  • Distributorships and Reseller Agreements
  • Employment Agreements
  • Leases

We can tell clients what’s common and uncommon and protect them from getting into bad contracts that could haunt them later.

Breach of Contract

If the other party has breached a contract, or if the other party claims that you’ve breached, it’s a good idea to contact an attorney with commercial litigation experience as soon as possible. Often we can resolve contract disputes for our clients without having to go to court.

For example, we can negotiate with the other side’s attorney, or we can use alternative dispute resolution methods like mediation and arbitration to resolve disputes without the need for a full-blown trial.

More than 95% of commercial disputes settle without going to trial. However, for the rare case that does go to trial, it’s important to have an experienced commercial litigator on your team.
